Rhyme in poetry.

This week we were exploring this subject, and only touched upon it,as it’s a deep subject. For closing remarks,I would like to add that a rhymed poem is one that has assonance,or vowel sounds,at the end of the lines.Generally, poetry treats language as an art form, and rhymed poems are the purest expression of this aspect of poetry. Not all poetry ,however, requires rhyme. For instance black verse and free verse make no requirement for rhyme.Types of rhyming poems include sonnets, limericks and nursery rhymes, and in the coming weeks,we will be getting more insights on them,as on other subjects of poetry.

We envision that all participants of  will be knowledgeable enough by the end of the festival to be able to enjoy poetry even more, and to compose it themselves. To that end,we will keep frequent mailing of communication, and updating of this site with new information,to help pass on our agenda of poetry education, for greater enjoyment of the art.We will be adding more information on this subject of rhyme in poetry, and updating you of it,as the festival progresses.See our earlier article on this subject here.

The theme of love in poetry.

Poets are free to explore the diverse theme of love in their work, and have done so throughout the ages. Our closing remarks on this source of inspiration for poetry is that one should not be carried away by the emotion to the extent of not expressing the message of the poem right. The choice of words should capture the emotion, but in such a way that clear communication is still made.More material on this theme will be added as the festival continues, and updates made.See our earlier article on this theme here,
